What is your work experience in Auroville?

Several years of administrative works. Former member of the Working Committee 1998-2000. Security in charge 1982-1991 then 2000 to 2006. Legal matters: court cases from locals courts to Madras High Court. Member of TDC team from 2013 to 2018. Member of Land protection Group from 2013 till today. Liaison with local authorities from Panchayats level to Chief Secretariat in Channai. Liaison with the Auroville Foundation form many years.

Do you have knowledge and understanding of the task of the working group for which you are nominated? (A ‘yes’ or ‘no’ reply is not sufficient. Please explain.)

Yes – Former member of the WC and in contact with ground and update of issues facing the community till today. I am fully aware of the dangers of further erosions of ethical values that are expected from us. I am also deeply involved in the protection of Auroville against encroachments of private developers and will dedicated my task to ensure that.

Do you consider that you are qualified and competent to participate in the work of the working group for which you are nominated? (A ‘yes’ or ‘no’ reply is not sufficient. Please explain.)

I am competent and qualified. I am fully trained for legal matters, for contacts with authorities. Fluent in French, in English and good knowledge of spoken Tamil. The years to come will be crucial for Auroville who is now faced with several serious issues from all sides including internal ones. It is time to help Auroville to move towards Mother’s Dream and stop the drifting away we have seen on the last decade.

I am working in a team since the last 7 years and I have been part of other team for many years.

What do you think you will contribute to the work of the working group?

Bringing back Mother’s ethics in every fields of activities of Auroville. Being a member of the Working Committee will be a needed step for the protection of the Master Plan area.
