I have been involved in the field work of Land Board – Fencing, Solving the boundary problems Wood collecting and selling, supervising the field workers, planning and organizing the day to day field works, Planting and watering the plants and protecting the overall Auroville lands.

I am interested to continue and offer my service in the above field works. It is my long time interest and ambition to learn more and to be part of decision making team. I have played for Auroville Kabaddi team for 27 years. I have participated in Pondicherry state level and National levels.

What is your work experience in Auroville?
Since arriving in Auroville in 2007, I first work for almost a year as an executive of ACCUR and then joined Andre HABABOU architect with Auromodele Atelier before creating Creation Architecture Studio. As an Architect I worked on the planning and execution of Surrender phase 2 as well as the realization of residences in Auroville and elsewhere in Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu. I also participated in numerous projects with the T.D.C. over the years. Following the cancellation of my last project by the TDC, I started working with my partner at Dream Studio a fashion studio under Artisanat Trust.
I have also volunteered with working group in various role over the years and participated in divers community initiative such as the establishment of a new selection process, or with the lotus group that work on economic issues, as well as working on land protection issues to date.

I am familiar with the task of the land board that deals with all land related issues such as land purchase, land protection, land stewardship, land sale and exchange, land management and records, fundraising for land purchase, etc..
To accomplish these tasks the land board works members directly with the FAMC, Working Committee, Governing board &the Foundation’s Secretary, within Auroville. The land board must also maintain a courteous and amicable relationship with the local authority and the neighboring land owners.

Over the years I have work in project management and acquired a good experience in the business, administrative and legal fields. I am fluent with a number of software including word processing, spreadsheets, CAD as well as photo/movie editing and others.
Since joining Auroville I have acquired a good knowledge of the administrative process in AV. In my capacity as a member of the land protection group I have interacted, in collaboration with WC, in a number of occasions with the Secretary and adjoint secretaries of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Chennai, in charge of land matter in Tamil Nadu. On the topic of land protection, I have participated in numerous meeting with the Governing Board and the Foundation Secretary. I have also prepared and participated in a number of GM/RAS and lesser community meeting on the issue of land protection.
In view of my experience before I joined Auroville and since I have joined it is my feeling that I am well prepared to deal with daily task of the land board.

My participation and work experience with divers working groups and particularly working with land protection issue over the years has prepared me to take on a position in the land board.
It is my understanding that one comes to Auroville to be of service and it is in that spirit of service, to the Mother, that I would join the group. My goal if ever selected is to join a dedicated team to ensure further protection of the land needed for the Auroville project in the spirit of Service, Harmony and Collaboration.

What do you see yourself contributing to the work of the Land Board?
What I would bring to the work of the land board is my dedication to the project of Auroville and my profound belief that the community must consolidate Auroville lands so that the project remains relevant geographically.
To that effect I have over the year written and presented proposals regarding strategic land purchase for Auroville where land purchase is prioritized according to the land strategic value. I have also worked with fundraising for land for Auroville and would be happy to share my experience within the land board. Furthermore, without having a formal training in law, I have developed a keen interest in legal matters and could also contribute in this area.
I am certain I can contribute in these areas but will be happy to participate wherever my skills are most useful.

Yes I am, I have come to Auroville to work for the manifestation of the Vision of the Mother. We are only the instrument for the manifestation of the Dream of the Mother. The land issue concerns all of us, without the land protection and consolidation we put ourself in big danger. We are already invaded by all sorts of developments from outside. We really need to put all our energy and creativity to work for the land protection and consolidation.

– I was part of the LRD, Land Resourse and Development, study of the outside land maps, development – proposal.

The land isue concerns all of us, we all agree that we need to work fast and with determination, we have to put all our efforts together as a team at the land board. We need to involve all the working groups, all the residents, including the Governing Board of Auroville.

I have worked in different areas mostly in administration, and have been a member of the Working Committee for about 10 years in the past, where I was involved in connecting with the neighbourhood village headman, Panchayat, district officials such as BDO, Thasildhar, Police department in connection with the DSP, SP, DIG, Collector as well as the Revenue Secretary and other officials of Tamil Nadu State Government. Most of my dealings have been related to Auroville land matters such as land encroachment, transferring Peromboke land to Auroville and land dispute matters.

I would be concentrating in how to protect the land of Auroville and how to retrieve the land of Auroville and make sure it is used for the betterment of Auroville for the Future.

My goal to work with the Land Board team is to focus on resolving issues that are being carried out, to retrieve and protect the Lands of Auroville for the betterment for the residents of Auroville and to be coordinating with all the members of the team to make sure that there is a healthy relationship within the team to make decisions Harmoniously.

What is your work experience in Auroville?
I have been working at Vanaville and helping in pazhamudhircholai farm. and I also did purchasing for Tanto whenever there is a recruitment .Before i was worked at Unity Transport service for 3 more years.

yes , I have understanding on the land required for Auroville. In order to complete our city we are still in the process of acquiring land for the development and it would be an ongoing process till we complete the buying all the land needed for Auroville.

yes, i consider my self as a qualified person for this work. Since i am from the local background i have some knowledge on how to deal with different situation needed for the work.

yes, I am willing to take up the work to serve Auroville. and I am aware of the challenge that I might face during this period of time and to work in the group.
