What are your aspiration and vision for this work?
Being involved in mentoring newcomers I am inspired by the challenge to find the ways to transmit the essentials of Auroville not as a catechism or series of laws and rules, but as a co-learning process. The most important aim of the probation year is to accompany newcomers into this fundamental education; an experiential and spiritual education actually.
For me the main responsibility we have towards newcomers is to be able to share our most intimate, sincere and true journey of making this AV project happen.

Which domains have you worked in at Auroville? And what are other areas of your interest?
Developing a welcoming service for volunteers and students (Savi); administration and serving the Auroville Human Resources Needs (as opportunities of collaboration); now I am involved with some other people in creating a similar space and service for external Researchers.
Now involved in admin work with LEAD, an umbrella unit for ALA Auroville Learning Activities; that’s why I am not candidate for Entry Board, but only participating in the Selection process.
Please mention one or two key changes that you would like to see in the way the community welcome newcomers
More fraternity and good will towards newcomers from community members. Accepting their enthusiasm and fresh ideas for ageing Auroville to be rejuvenated by this new blood.
