Why Participate?

The working groups are in need for new members, as some of them have finished their terms or resigned. This affects all of us.

The Selection Process is a chance for residents to actively engage and take part collectively in preparing Auroville’s future. It also gives an opportunity to demystify what the Working Groups are, and understand better our current organizational structure and its dynamics.

Before nominating yourself or others, you might want to read the mandate, job-description and specific needs of the relevant working group(s). Please check the links below. The ongoing members and number of seats to be filled are also listed.

Membership Details

AUROVILLE COUNCIL

  • Number of members to be selected: 4
  • Ganesh’s term comes to an end and he will leave when the new members are selected.
  • Meenal Sanjay, Riju and Sai Suresh have resigned before their 3 year term was over.

Ongoing members: Balaji, Claudine, Shiva, Shivaya and Suryan

ENTRY BOARD

  • Number of members to be selected: 4
  • Dheena, Matriprasad, Rama Narayana and Sophie, their term is over and will leave when the new team is selected.

Ongoing members: Jayanthi, Lakshmanan, Matilde and Swadha

FUNDS & ASSETS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

  • Number of members to be selected: 6
  • Marc’s term comes to an end and will leave when the new team is selected.
  • Kalya have resigned before his 3 year term was over.
  • Angelo, Jonas, Lisa and Stephan, all of them have decided to resign and will leave when the new team is selected.

Ongoing members: Amy, Palani and Ranjith

WORKING COMMITTEE

  • Number of members to be selected: 5
  • Chali’s term comes to an end and she will leave when the new members are selected.
  • Anu, Arun, Partha and Srimoyi, their term has come to an end by the recent RAD outcome.

Ongoing members: Hemant and Sauro

AUROVILLE TOWN DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (ATDC)

  • Number of members to be selected: 13
